Education
Biography Ms. Rahe is President and Chief Executive Officer of Fort Washington and a member of FW Capital’s Investment Committee. Before joining Fort Washington, Ms. Rahe was President and member of the board of directors of the United States Trust Company of New York. Prior to that, she
was Vice Chair of the board of The Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago and also worked at J.P. Morgan in London and New York. Ms. Rahe earned an MBA with honors from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Ariz. She also earned a Bachelor’s
degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and was a Ph.D. candidate at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Nicholas P. Sargen There are three pillars to Fort Washington’s investment philosophy. First, we seek to capture returns and preserve capital through the application of disciplined processes that are specific to each strategy we manage. Second, we are rigorous in assessing risk to ensure we are paid adequate returns for the risk we are taking. Third, we believe in the power of specialized knowledge. Education
Biography Mr. Sargen joined Fort Washington in 2003 as Chief Investment Officer and member of FW Capital’s Investment Committee. He also serves as a Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Western-Southern. Mr. Sargen has held varied and prominent positions in the financial
industry since 1971. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director and Global Market Strategist for JP Morgan Chase’s Private Bank (1995-2003). Prior to Chase, Mr. Sargen was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for Prudential Insurance Company’s Global
Advisors (1991-1994) and Director of Bond Market Research for Salomon Brothers (1984-1991). Mr. Sargen has also held prominent positions with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company (1978-1984), Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (1974-1977) and the U.S. Department of Treasury (1974). Mr.
Sargen earned a PhD and an MA in Economics, both from Stanford University, and a BA in Economics from the University of California-Berkeley. ![]() |
