Career
Kate Brown joined the firm in August 2015 and serves as Managing Director in the Private Client Group. She focuses on the wealth planning needs of high net worth individuals.
Prior to joining Fort Washington, Brown worked as a Wealth Planner for The Private Client Reserve at U.S. Bank where she was recognized in 2012 as a "Reserve Elite" winner. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, she held several Wealth Planning and leadership positions including DWM Advisors in North Carolina, Kuehl Shepherd Kozlowski Group, and Wachovia Securities in Virginia.
Education & Designations
Brown earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in International Business and Marketing and a Spanish minor from the University of Richmond. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and has received several accolades including being recognized in 2013 by Venue magazine in its "40 Under 40" issue and was selected as a participant in the 2014 YWCA Rising Star leadership program class.
She is very active in the Cincinnati community and currently serves on the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors and is a member of the YWCA of Cincinnati Finance and Investment Committees. Brown is a former board member of Cincinnati Area Senior Services and previously chaired the Western & Southern Artswave campaign in 2018.
